Job summary

Hillside Medical Centre – Auckland, North Island, is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist for a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover. The role is part-time with a minimum of 3.5 days per week, with potential for full-time for the right candidate.

Based in Hillsborough, Auckland, you will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, managing appointments and performing admin tasks to ensure smooth operation and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• NZ medical receptionist experience of 2+ years is required.
• Experience with practice management systems; MyPractice is a bonus.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail; excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and maintain a professional, friendly demeanour.
• Coordinate waiting room flow and update patient details.
• Manage appointments, re-scheduling and practitioner availability.
• Handle phone and email inquiries discreetly.
• Process patient payments and banking transactions.
• Maintain secure medical records via the practice system.
• Assist healthcare practitioners with arrivals and intake forms.
• Support the wider team with admin duties as required.
