Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for Patient Care Assistant (Clerical) in the Paediatrics module at Manukau Health Park. The role supports children and families through high-quality clinical administration and collaborates with a large multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive patient experience.

Two positions available: Full-time 40 hours/week and Part-time 32 hours/week, Monday to Friday, located in North Island - Auckland - South & East Auckland.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to provide patient-focused service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised, adaptable and able to work collaboratively in a busy team.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary teams is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support children and their families through high-quality clinical administration.
  • Work closely with a large multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Contribute to smooth administration within the Paediatrics module.
  • This role does not involve direct patient care.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a motivated Patient Care Assistant (Clerical) to join our friendly, quality-focused and dynamic administration team within Module 4 (Paediatrics) at Manukau Health Park.

While this role does not involve direct patient care, you will play an important role in supporting children and their families through the provision of high-quality clinical administration. You will work closely with a large multidisciplinary team and contribute to ensuring our patients and their whānau receive a positive and well-supported experience.

We currently have two positions available:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Part-time: 32 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday

About You

We are looking for a motivated and people-focused administrator with experience working in a healthcare environment. You will have a strong customer focus and a commitment to providing a patient-focused service to the diverse community of South Auckland.

As a people person, you will have excellent communication skills, be organised and adaptable, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

You will have:

  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working with iPM and the Regional Clinical Portal is preferred
  • Excellent computer and technical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A customer-focused and professional approach
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare environment
