Job summary

Avis Budget Group at New Plymouth Airport is seeking a part-time Rental Operations Agent. You will handle both front and back of house tasks, engaging customers, promoting products and services, and completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.

You will also inspect vehicles for damages, drive and park cars, and clean vehicles in the wash bay to ensure readiness for customers. Weekend shifts and 16 hours per week apply, with a starting hourly rate and incentive scheme.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential.
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided).
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers at the counter, market products and services, and complete rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.
• Inspect vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, drive and park cars, and clean interiors and exteriors in the wash bay so they are ready for customers.
