Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Nelson Hospital, seeks a Dispensing, Supply and Logistics Lead Pharmacist for a permanent part-time role (0.5FTE). The role focuses on clinical management of dispensing, supply and logistics, ensuring quality use of medicines, and supporting safe patient care in the Nelson Marlborough region.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to optimise medication use, address shortages, and support day-to-day dispensary operations, with occasional travel to Wairau

Qualifications

• Registration with the NZ Pharmacy Council and APC required.
• Clinical leadership in hospital pharmacy.
• Strong communication and teamwork for multidisciplinary care.

Responsibilities

• Lead dispensing, supply and logistics across the pathway.
• Ensure quality use of medicines and KPI attainment.
• Promote medication safety and lead quality-improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Technician Team Coordinator and other teams.
• Participate in on-call roster and occasional travel to Wairau hospital.
