Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a Dispensing, Supply and Logistics Lead Pharmacist at Nelson Hospital. This part-time 0.5FTE role focuses on clinical management and the quality use of medicines across dispensing, supply and logistics pathways within the Nelson Marlborough region.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, uphold medication safety, collaborate with the Medication Safety & Education Lead Pharmacist, and support day-to-day dispensary operations, including

Qualifications

• Have a total of 6 years postgraduate experience including equivalent of four years full time experience hospital pharmacy
• Hold registration with the New Zealand Pharmacy council and Annual Practicing Certificate
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to medication safety

Responsibilities

• Clinical management, oversight and the quality use of medicines across dispensing, supply and logistics management pathway
• Ensure team practice aligns with best practice and KPIs are achieved
• Provide positive role modelling, clinical expertise and advice on medication-related matters
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care
• Collaborate with the Medication Safety & Education Lead Pharmacist on medication safety
• Support the Pharmacy Technician Team Coordinator and daily dispensary operations; travel to Wairau hospital as required
• Participate in on-call roster once established
