Job summary

Under the Stars is a Tauranga-based charity seeking a part-time General Manager to lead operations and drive financial sustainability. Reporting to the Board, you will oversee the Operations Co-ordinator and guide our funding strategy while supporting our 18-month premises relocation plan.

You will build strong relationships with funders, sponsors and local partners to create sustainable income streams and ensure high-quality service delivery for Tauranga's homeless and in-need programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in the not-for-profit sector with grant writing and funding.
• Confident communicator and self-starter capable of managing own time.
• Genuine concern for community outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Researching and securing grants, developing donation and sponsorship streams to create sustainable income streams.
• Building and maintaining relationships with funders, sponsors, and community partners.
• Representing us at external meetings and building ties with local community groups
• Overseeing the Operations Co-ordinator and ensuring effective service delivery
• Working closely with the Board and Treasurer to align budget with our mission.
