Job summary

Arohanui Hospice in Palmerston North is seeking a part-time Community Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator to join our fundraising team. This role supports schools, clubs, and community groups to plan and deliver fundraising activities that benefit hospice care in our region.

You’ll build strong community relationships, encourage participation, and ensure community-led activities are connected to our wider fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement, coordination, fundraising, or similar roles.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A practical, proactive approach to supporting community activity.
• Confidence engaging with community groups and speaking at events.
• Willingness and ability to regularly work evenings and weekends to attend community fundraising and engagement activities.
• Confidence working with a wide range of community groups and volunteers.
