Job summary

Farmlands Co-Operative is hiring at the Westport store for a part-time role (30 hours per week) with some Saturday shifts. You will provide retail sales and customer service to shareholders, advise on farming products, operate the POS system, and handle stock ordering, receipting, and display.

Ideal candidates bring farming sector knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and prior retail or customer service experience. Basic admin skills and forklift/first aid are bonus points.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing retail roles is preferred.
• Ability to engage confidently with a diverse range of customers.
• Experience using POS systems and basic administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide retail sales and customer service to shareholders.
• Advise customers on range of farming products.
• Operate a POS system and process transactions.
• Complete administrative tasks such as stock ordering and receipting.
• Restock and display products.
