Job summary

Farmlands Te Whenua Tāroa, New Zealand’s largest farming co‑operative, seeks a casual Sales Assistant for the Oamaru store. You’ll provide retail sales and customer service, offer expert product advice, operate the POS, and help maintain the bulk store with stock receipts.

Applicants should have retail or customer service experience, good computer skills, a valid Class 1 driver’s licence, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg. Flexibility across the week is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales or customer service.
• Sound computer skills and POS familiarity.
• Full clean Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Provide retail sales and customer service to shareholders.
• Advise customers on farming products including sheep and beef.
• Operate a POS system accurately.
• Assist and maintain the bulk store and stock receipts.
