Job summary

Presbyterian Support Otago’s Enliven Ranui and Castlewood in Alexandra is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan, lead, and oversee resident activities that support dignity, independence and well‑being while keeping residents connected and engaged.

You will supervise Activities Assistants and Volunteers, recruit and inspire volunteers, and ensure service delivery meets the residents’ needs. The role is permanent part‑time, 22 hours per week, with schedule from Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have strong planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including relationship building and advocacy.
• Be energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative.
• Full driver’s license is required.
• Empathy and patience with elderly people are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and oversee activities to promote residents’ dignity, independence and well-being.
• Supervise a team of Activities Assistants and Volunteers and recruit/inspire volunteers.
• Ensure effective service delivery and resident engagement.
