Job summary

NZ Recruit in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Panel Beater / Painter to join a busy workshop working on heavy machinery and equipment. This 6-week sick leave cover offers flexibility and potential ongoing work.

You'll perform panel beating and body repairs, prepare machinery for painting, and handle sanding, filling and finishing. Heavy machinery experience is advantageous; safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous panel beating and/or painting experience.
• Heavy machinery, heavy vehicle or industrial experience advantageous.
• High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Able to work independently.
• Reliable, practical and safety-focused.

We’re looking for an experienced Panel Beater / Painter to join a busy workshop working on heavy machinery and equipment.

This position is initially to cover approximately 6 weeks of sick leave, with potential for further work or an ongoing opportunity for the right person.

What you’ll be doing:

• Panel beating and body repairs
• Preparing machinery and panels for painting
• Sanding, filling, masking and finishing
• Spray painting and touch-ups
• Working on heavy machinery and equipment
• General repairs and refurbishment
