Job summary

Ray Haslar Autohaus in Auckland is seeking an experienced Car Painter for a permanent, full-time role (40 hours/week) at our busy city-fringe Panel and Paint Shop. You will prepare, mask, prime, and paint vehicles to a high standard and polish finishes.

Applicants should hold a Trade Certificate in Car Painting, have a minimum of three years’ experience, and be fluent in English. A current NZ driver’s license and teamwork spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Trade Certificate in Car Painting.
• At least three years’ experience as a Car Painter.
• Good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Quality and professional preparation of vehicles within target hours.
• Fill depressions with filler, grind and sand repaired surfaces.
• Apply primer and prepare surfaces.
• Prepare, mask and paint vehicles as required.
• Polish vehicles.

We are looking to employ an experienced, qualified Car Painter to join our team at our busy Auckland Central (city fringe) Panel and Paint Shop, on a permanent basis, full time (40 hours per week).

The position entails :

• Quality and professional prepared vehicles in the allowed target hours.
• Filling depressions with filler, filling, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces.
• Applying primer and preparing surfaces.
• To prepare, mask and paint vehicles as required.
• To polish vehicles.
• With good working conditions and well positioned shop. Experience on European Cars an advantage.

Requirements:

• Must have Trade Certificated qualifications of Car Painter.
• Have had a least three year’s experience as a Car Painter.
• Must have good command of the English language.
• Have a clean and current driver’s licence.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Applicants for this position should have a New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.

Guaranteed 40 hours work per week.
