Job summary

InterGroup is seeking a hands-on Panel Beater to join our team in New Zealand and help maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers and specialist vehicles. You’ll work on everything from minor damage and repairs through to more involved panel work, with auto spray experience strongly preferred.

You’ll prepare panels for painting and, where experienced, carry out automotive painting and colour matching to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater.
• Experience working on trucks, heavy vehicles or commercial vehicles would be advantageous.
• Automotive spray painting experience is strongly preferred, but not essential.
• Good knowledge of panel repair and preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and manage your workload.
• A practical, can-do attitude.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out panel beating and body repairs on trucks, trailers and specialist vehicles.
• Repairing dents, damage, scratches and general wear and tear.
• Removing, repairing and replacing damaged panels and components.
• Preparing panels and surfaces for painting.
• Carrying out automotive painting, colour matching and finishing where experienced.
• Inspecting vehicles and identifying repairs required.
• Ensuring vehicles are repaired and presented to a high standard.
• Assisting with general fleet presentation and maintenance.
• Keeping your work area, tools and equipment clean and organised.
• Working safely and following health and safety requirements.
• Working with the Fleet and Operations teams to keep vehicles available for work.

PANEL BEATER

Are you an experienced Panel Beater who takes pride in quality workmanship?

InterGroup is looking for a hands-on Panel Beater to join our team and help maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers and specialist vehicles.

With a large and varied fleet across the business, you’ll work on everything from minor damage and repairs through to more involved panel work. Auto spray experience is strongly preferred, as there will be opportunities to prepare and paint vehicles, but it’s not essential if panel beating is your strength.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Carrying out panel beating and body repairs on trucks, trailers and specialist vehicles
