Job summary

Steel in Auckland is seeking an experienced Production Operator to paint coil steel and ensure quality. This fixed-term position will cover temporary employee needs for approximately 3 months.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, preferably in painting and powdercoating, and must hold a forklift license. This role involves working in a busy production facility with a rotating shift pattern that guarantees Sundays off, offering a competitive hourly rate.

Here at PCC we are looking for an experienced and self‑motivated Production Operator who also holds a forklift licence, to paint coil steel and ensure quality on our production line. This is a fixed‑term position, for temporary employee cover for approx. 3 months.

Based in our busy production facility in Penrose, this role will see you focusing on manufacturing products to our customer’s requirements while working to short deadlines. Ideally you will have previous manufacturing experience preferably in painting and powdercoating, or in a general production environment. Health and Safety is at the forefront of what we do so safe work practices, along with the willingness to identify potential hazards and participate in Health and Safety training, is a must.

We currently operate a rotating shift pattern which includes 12.25hour shifts. The shift pattern includes day shifts (6.45am – 7.00pm) and night shifts (6.45pm – 7.00am) on a 3 week roster pattern (From Monday to Saturday). You are guaranteed to always have Sundays off.
