Job summary

Happy Brush Painting Limited in Otago is seeking painters to join our boutique team. The role involves preparing surfaces by removing old paint and fixing woodwork, then applying paints, varnishes and stains with brushes, rollers or sprays.

You will mix colours by combining pigment, oil, thinning and drying additives to achieve required shades. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience or a Level 5 or higher qualification.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience or a Level 5 or higher qualification.
• Experience in preparing surfaces, mixing paints and applying coatings.
• New Zealand citizenship or resident visa required.

At Happy Brush Painting Limited, we are a boutique painting company. To help with growth at our company, we are looking to hire Painters.

Tasks associated with this role will include:

• 1) preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
• 2) applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
• 3) selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives

The role will pay at least $25-30 per hour and will guarantee at least 30 hours per week.

To meet requirements for this role you will need to have at least at least 2 years of relevant work experience or any level 5 or higher qualification.
