Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland is seeking a Clinical Physiologist (Sleep) to provide paediatric sleep physiology services at Starship. The role includes PSG setup, monitoring, overnight studies, PAP/NIV management, and reporting.

You will work with the respiratory and sleep medical teams, participate in a rotating day/evening/night roster, and support complex paediatric patients. Applicants may be working toward registration as a Clinical Physiologist (Sleep); BSc plus

Qualifications

Willing to work towards registration or registered as a Clinical Physiologist (Sleep).
Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent in a relevant field.
Postgraduate diploma in sleep physiology or equivalent (desired).
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential (desired).
Paediatric experience (desired).
Sleep laboratory physiology experience (desired).

Responsibilities

Provide paediatric sleep physiology services including PSG setup and monitoring.
Overnight sleep studies, Level 1-4 sleep studies, and oximetry.
PAP and NIV initiation, titration and follow-up; high-flow and humidification support.
Score and report sleep studies per AASM manual.
Liaise with respiratory and sleep medical teams and other paediatric services.
Participate in a rotating day/evening/night roster, including overnight studies.
