Job summary

Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland is seeking a Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau (Occupational Therapist) for a full-time role (40 hours per week) in the paediatric therapy team. You will work across inpatient wards and some outpatient clinics with tamariki and whānau, in a vibrant interdisciplinary environment.

This position offers opportunities to develop your professional practice within a supportive team, contributing to child development and whānau-centered care at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu

Qualifications

• NZ registration as Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau Occupational Therapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a hospital setting is valued.
• Commitment to whānau-centered care and child development concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT assessments and care for tamariki and whānau.
• Work in wards and select outpatient clinics within Starship Child Health.
• Collaborate with Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Social Workers and others to achieve outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

About you
