Job summary

Westland Milk Products, part of the Yili Oceania Group, is seeking a Packaging Technician to join our Maintenance & Services team. Reporting to the Packaging Technician Lead, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving automated packing lines to maximise equipment reliability, plant uptime and product quality.

You'll support preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, processing or industrial maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working safely in a production environment.
• Good computer skills and experience with maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Support annual shutdown and commissioning activities.
• Manage maintenance records through CMMS systems.
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Support operator training and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Participate in on-call arrangements as required.
