Job summary
ElectroNet Contracting in Cromwell, Central Otago, invites you to join our team as a Line Designer. You will take designs from concept through construction, combining technical design, fieldwork and collaboration with project teams.
You should have experience as a line designer, proficiency in AutoCAD and line-design software such as COLDNet/CATAN, PLS-CADD or PLS-POLE, confidence working in the field, and a NZ Class 1 driver licence.

Network upgrades, pole replacements and new 66kV line developments, you will work on a diverse range of projects, taking designs from concept through to construction while combining technical design, fieldwork and collaboration with project teams.

About you
- Experience as a line designer
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant line-design software, such as COLDNet/CATAN, PLS-CADD or PLS-POLE or similar line-design software
- Confidence working in the field, including at remote sites
- A full New Zealand Class 1 driver licence
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A practical commitment to quality and safety.
Knowledge of New Zealand electricity-industry requirements and experience in distribution or sub-transmission design would be advantageous.
