Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a patient-focused team member to support providers during exams in outpatient clinics. Under Nursing Leadership, you will perform a variety of clinical tasks to enhance patient care, comfort, and safety.

You will handle equipment, prepare rooms, collect specimens, enter data into electronic medical records, manage supplies, and assist with procedures as needed, ensuring efficient operations and cost-conscious inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in customer focused/service setting.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction from Nursing Leadership, assists providers during exams.
• Performs a variety of clinical tasks in support of patient care in outpatient clinics.
• Attaches patient to diagnostic and medical equipment and monitors patient status.
• Provides information, comfort and care to patient during the exam and explains next steps.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are readily available for smooth operations and patient safety.
