Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Christchurch‑based Sea Logistics Reefer Operational Care Specialist, Cooltainer, on a 12‑month fixed-term contract. You will support the Cooltainer team across import/export operations, engaging customers and coordinating with transport partners to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

You will arrange bookings, manage shipment details in TMS, and contribute to accurate invoicing and documentation while collaborating with multiple departments over the contract period.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Export and Import operations across various trade lanes.
• Deliver exceptional operational and customer service through direct customer engagement, supporting onboarding and implementation processes while facilitating both in‑person and virtual customer meetings.
• Arrange bookings directly with transport companies and liaise with carriers and suppliers.
• Create/complete shipment details in our internal transport management systems (carrier/vessel, item description etc.).
• Ensure that all documentation is completed as per company processes, customer and regulatory requirements and in a timely manner.
• Complete invoicing at time of delivery to the load port

Sea Logistics Reefer Operational Care Specialist, Cooltainer (Christchurch Based | 12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Reporting to the Sea Logistics Reefer Operational Care Manager (Lyt ZS‑PO), this Christchurch‑based role will provide additional support to our Cooltainer team for a period of 12 months. Over the 12‑month period, you will have the opportunity to support multiple departments, providing operational and customer care support for import and export shipments as required.
