Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora in Wellington Hospital seeks a Patient Administrator to support the patient journey from referral to discharge. You will work on a roster that covers Monday to Friday, up to 20 hours per week, within the hours of 7.30 to 17.30.

You will be responsible for ensuring quality, customer-focused reception services for patients attending clinics or making phone enquiries, liaising with clinical teams, and maintaining smooth service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality, customer-focused reception services to patients attending clinics or making phone enquiries.

  • Ensure booking protocols are followed to keep waiting times to a minimum.
  • Review patient information recorded in the Patient Management System.
  • Follow up with services for patients who have missed appointments.

About the Role

We are seeking a Patient Administrator which supports a patient's journey from referral to a CCDHB treatment provider, right through to discharge. This role is based in the Wellington Hospital but supports all three sites in the Capital & Coast District Health Board, on a roster Monday - Friday, working up to 20 hours per week between hours of 7.30 - 17.30.

You will be responsible for ensuring quality, customer focused reception services are provided to our patients attending clinics and or making phone enquiries. You will liaise with our clinical teams and strengthen clinical and non-clinical relationships to provide the very best patient journey.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth running of our services, ensuring that booking protocols are followed and adhered to in order to keep waiting times to a minimum, reviewing the patient information recorded in our Patient Management System and following up with services for their patients who have missed appointments.
