Job summary

Nelson Marlborough Health is seeking a skilled Carpenter or Experienced Landscaper to join our Construction Team in Blenheim. This long-term, hands-on role focuses on delivering high-quality outdoor infrastructure and landscape projects across landscapes, water, and environmental sectors in New Zealand.

You will work outdoors building structures, decking, fencing, and concrete formwork as part of a collaborative team committed to safety and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience as Carpenter or Landscape Construction professional.
• Ability to read plans and interpret measurements.
• Proven timber construction experience and outdoor structures.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow plans, drawings, and site instructions.
• Measure, cut, and install timber formwork/boxing for concrete paths and foundations.
• Construct outdoor structures including fences, screens, pergolas, and retaining walls.
• Prepare formwork for concrete pours and install decking and balustrades.
• Assist with pouring, screeding, and finishing concrete.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality projects.
