Job summary

Wellington Electricity is seeking an experienced outage and works schedule planner to coordinate outages across sub-transmission, distribution, and LV networks. You will support a large works programme and ensure outages are planned efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption.

Collaborating with a range of stakeholders, you will develop outage plans, switching instructions, and customer notifications while adhering to H&S and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in outage planning or supporting major outage projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical networks in distribution or transmission.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan effective outage programmes ensuring smooth workflow to Network Control.
• Develop switching instructions for sub-transmission, HV and LV networks.
• Notify customers of planned outages ensuring H&S and regulatory requirements.
• Implement contingency plans and risk management measures.
• Accurately record data and produce reports from databases.
