Job summary

Christchurch Career Flow Limited, trading as NewZealand Skills Connect, seeks an OSCE Clinical Skills Tutor to plan and deliver our OSCE preparation programme. The role covers online theory sessions and in-lab skill demonstrations at our Christchurch facility.

The successful candidate will prepare candidates to meet the NCNZ OSCE standard, provide feedback, and maintain course content in a dynamic teaching environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor degree or higher qualification in nursing.
• Minimum of two years of relevant teaching or supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of the NCNZ OSCE assessment framework and station format.
• Current NZ nursing registration under OSCE framework.
• Ability to work Wednesday to Sunday, including evenings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop study programmes for individuals and small groups preparing for the NCNZ OSCE.
• Deliver online theory sessions on OSCE syllabus and nursing practice standards.
• Instruct and demonstrate practical OSCE skills using standard equipment and protocols.
• Conduct one-to-one mock OSCEs in the skills lab and assess against criteria.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and remediation to students.
• Review and revise course content and materials as standards change.
• Record attendance, progress, and mock results; report outcomes to management.
• Maintain the clinical skills lab and ensure safe practice during sessions.
