Job summary

Christchurch Career Flow Limited trading as NewZealand Skills Connect seeks an OSCE Clinical Skills Tutor to plan and deliver our OSCE preparation programme, both online and in our Christchurch clinical skills lab. This is a permanent, full-time position with a minimum of 32 guaranteed hours per week.

The role requires a bachelor degree in nursing, current NZ registration, and at least two years of teaching or supervising nurses.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or higher in nursing.
Minimum of two years of teaching, tutoring or clinically supervising nurses or nursing students.
Practical working knowledge of the NCNZ OSCE assessment framework and station format.

Responsibilities

Plan and develop programmes of study for individuals and small groups preparing for the NCNZ OSCE.
Deliver online theory sessions covering OSCE syllabus and nursing standards.
Instruct and demonstrate practical OSCE skills using exam equipment and protocols.
Conduct one-to-one mock OSCE exams in the skills lab and assess performance against criteria.
Provide individual feedback and remedial coaching to students.
Review and revise course content, station scenarios and resources as standards change.
Record attendance, progress and mock results and report outcomes to management.
Maintain the clinical skills lab and ensure safe practice during sessions.
