Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury seeks experienced Orthopaedic Surgeons to join the Orthopaedic Service at Christchurch Hospital. Qualifications

• Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in Orthopaedic Surgery, or eligible for registration.
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Orthopaedic Surgery, or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Relevant specialist experience in orthopaedic practice.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in supporting development of colleagues and trainees.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Orthopaedic Service at Christchurch Hospital providesspecialist orthopaedic care to patients across Canterbury and the wider SouthIsland. As a major tertiary referral centre, Christchurch Hospitalmanages a broad range of complex orthopaedic presentations and works closelywith regional hospitals and other healthcare providers to support patientsthroughout their care journey.

You will join a dedicated team of specialist clinicians,registrars, nursing and allied health professionals who are committed todelivering excellent patient outcomes and improving the health and wellbeing ofour communities.

About You

As an Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will bring specialistclinical expertise, a commitment to high-quality patient care and the abilityto work effectively within a collaborative clinical environment.

You will have:

• Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in Orthopaedic Surgery, or be eligible for registration.
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Orthopaedic Surgery, or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification.
