The service delivers a strong orthopaedic foundation, with a focus on developing surgical skills in a supportive, hands-on environment and exposure to a broad range of elective procedures and high-volume trauma.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Completed PGY2 or equivalent.
• GSSE exam or equivalent would be an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Non-training Orthopaedic Registrars seeking to embark on or further develop a career in Orthopaedic Surgery at a strong foundation service.
• Exposure to elective orthopaedic procedures with a high-volume trauma workload to build operative experience.

Education

Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
