Job summary

JobSpace in Tauranga is seeking an Orchard Supervisor to lead contracted orchard operations within our horticulture business. This is a full-time permanent role with responsibilities spanning staff recruitment, training, scheduling, time and wage records, production planning and liaison with farmers and growers.

You will work independently, multitask effectively, and communicate clearly to drive customer service excellence and efficient field operations, with a pay rate of $28–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• You must have a level 4 qualification or two years of relevant work experience.
• You should be able to work independently to meet goals.
• You must multitask and complete work within set timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of contracted orchards and supervise staff.
• Recruit, train and supervise staff members.
• Prepare time and wage records for staff and create reports.
• Assist with production schedules, rosters, and communication with farmers.
• Handle financial transactions and product orders as needed.
• Oversee HR duties and staff development.
