Job summary

Suntory Oceania in Wiri, NZ, is seeking motivated Operators to safely run packaging equipment across multiple stations. You will own safety, quality, standard work and performance, stopping the line when needed and contributing to continuous improvement to meet production targets.

The role involves shift work, including overnights. Ideal candidates have trades experience, familiarity with automation, a safety-first mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Utilise Beverage processes or high-speed packaging equipment to meet targets.
• Perform daily process area cleaning to maintain GMP/HACCP standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, environment and autonomous maintenance.
• Conduct autonomous and corrective maintenance to improve equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshooting and structured problem solving.
• Safety-first: report any incidents and hazards.

We have an opportunity for Operators to join our Manufacturing, Supply Chain team in Wiri.

The purpose of this position is to safely and effectively operate packaging equipment across all assigned workstations, taking personal ownership of safety, quality, standard work, and performance.

The role is accountable for operating to standard, identifying and escalating abnormalities, stopping the line when required, and contributing to continuous improvement to achieve production, quality, and waste targets.

Our Wiri site is about to about to go through some significant upgrades where we will be investing in equipment and the education of our people to support our growth and ability to best in class.

We need ambitious operators that are eager to learn and grow their careers as we go on this exciting journey.

Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

• Utilise various Beverage processes and or high-speed Automated Packaging Equipment to execute our targets in accordance with our Manufacturing Plan
• Perform daily process area cleaning to maintain company compliance, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency environment and autonomous maintenance
• Conduct autonomous and corrective maintenance to ensure efficiency and improve the lifespan of our equipment
• Perform trouble shooting and structured problem solving
• Ensure all activities are performed with safety front of mind and any incidents correctly reported

Please note this role does involve shift work, including overnights.
