Job summary

C3 Limited is seeking an experienced, motivated people manager to lead all operational aspects of our Log Marshalling and Debarking operations at Port Marlborough. You will oversee the receipt and measurement of logs arriving by truck and barge, and supervise the team to maintain high service levels at our port facility.

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking toappoint an experienced, motivated people manager to focus on all operationalaspects of our Log Marshalling and Debarking operations at Port Marlborough. C3receive and measure logs arriving via truck and barge in Picton through ourcustomer service facility, while operating modern Debarker machinery as well.

Reporting to the Branch Manager we seek someone whocan develop and lead a team and manage the day-to-day operations at the branch.This position offers opportunities to deliver further improvements in customerservice, labour allocation efficiency and productivity.

This is a salaried role that ensures adequatestaffing levels are covered in all areas, on all shifts and that team membersare trained and following standard operating procedures to ensure a safeworking environment. You will be someone who enjoys developing and getting thebest out of others by fostering a good team culture and morale while enjoying ahands-on leadership role.

The successful candidate will require the following:

• Experience at optimizing efficiency of labour andplant
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safetymanagement and understanding of legislative requirements
• Effective relationship management with customersand staff
• Good planning and organisation skills
• An energetic and positive personality to motivateand lead
• Strong and effective people leadership ability incomplex labour environments
• Proven operational management experience, ideallyin a supply chain, manufacturing or Port environment
