Job summary

Qube Ports NZ is seeking skilled and experienced machine operators for our Wellington port operation. Roles include Wheel Loader, Wheeled Material Handler and Terminal Tractor operators. These casual positions offer flexibility and suit those with strong log handling experience.

Location: Wellington Port. Status: Casual position, as-and-when-required basis. You must pass a pre-employment medical and drug test and be eligible to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating wheel loaders and/or material handlers.
• Strong background in log handling.
• Willingness to train across multiple machines.
• Positive, safety-focused attitude.
• Restricted NZ Driver’s License minimum.
• Ability to work 12 hour shift work.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders, material handlers and terminal tractors at the Wellington port.
• Safely arrange, transfer, and load logs within the yard and loading out to ship.
• Communicate clearly with the team to ensure safe and efficient operations.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced machine operators for our Wellington port operation.
