About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding boutique hotel group, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Operations Manager to oversee multiple properties in the Eastern Cape region, with a primary focus on operations in and around Queenstown . This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the hotels, maintaining high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and profitability. The Operations Manager will work closely with individual hotel General Managers to implement operational strategies, control costs, and drive revenue growth. This is a hybrid role, requiring regular site visits and on-location support, balanced with remote work for strategic planning and reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational performance of multiple boutique hotels, ensuring adherence to brand standards and service excellence.
• Collaborate with hotel General Managers to develop and implement operational strategies, action plans, and budgets.
• Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations across all properties.
• Drive initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty through service quality improvements.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess operational standards, provide support, and identify training needs.
• Manage key supplier relationships and procurement processes to ensure optimal pricing and quality.
• Lead operational training and development programs for hotel staff and management.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the hotel group.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hotel operations management, preferably with multi-property oversight.
• Proven track record in improving operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, P&L analysis, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a hybrid work model, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and reporting tools.
• Ability to travel regularly within the Eastern Cape region.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Deep understanding of boutique hotel operations and guest expectations.
