Job summary

Hill Laboratories Limited in Mount Maunganui is seeking a seasonal support team member to coordinate daily sampling operations, ensuring safety and timely processing of kiwifruit samples from orchards to our Mount Maunganui lab as part of Zespri’s assurance programme.

You’ll work 7 days a week with rostered shifts between 6am and 7pm, and there are full-time and part-time opportunities. No kiwifruit experience is required as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Natural problem-solver with ability to adapt to variety.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Organise and prioritise tasks under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Confident using technology and learning new systems.
• Reliable, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced operations environment.
• Able to commit to January–May 2027 fixed-term.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily work for sampling team and coordinate tasks.
• Provide stakeholder support and maintain field-lab communications.
• Review sampling paths for compliance.
• Monitor field team safety using lone worker app and other tools.
• Offer basic troubleshooting for mobile apps, devices and printers.
