Job summary

Vitaco Group in New Zealand is seeking an Operations Engineering Manager to drive BPM and support the Mini Business Unit approach across manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. You will standardise practices, embed improvements and ensure reliable line, labour and waste standards.

This role requires a collaborative leader who can influence without direct reports, develop metrics, coach leaders, and build robust business cases for change while modelling Vitaco's values and safe working

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business process improvement and industrial engineering.
• Strong cross-functional influencing and collaboration skills.
• Proven coaching experience to develop problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to use operational data to identify opportunities and measure impact.
• Experience building sound business cases and mobilising teams.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, map and improve operational processes to simplify workflows and enable automation.
• Develop standardised documentation to support consistent ways of working.
• Champion the MBU programme with a clear metrics framework.
• Coach MBUs and leaders to strengthen engagement and continuous improvement.
• Set accurate line, labour and waste standards for decision support.
• Identify and deliver practical process fixes and track outcomes.
• Develop improvement champions and build capability through coaching.
• Build robust business cases for change and secure cross-functional commitment.
• Model Vitaco values and promote safe working practices.
