Job summary

Auckland BioSciences – Wigram, South Island is seeking an experienced Operations & Quality Coordinator to support day-to-day site operations and ensure compliance across production, quality, and logistics. The role combines hands-on documentation, compliance checks, and coordination to keep the site running smoothly.

You'll work closely with production, quality, logistics, and management to drive continuous improvement, manage priorities, and help grow into broader operational leadership

Responsibilities

• Work with management to meet site objectives.

• Monitor workflow and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with training, process implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide practical support to the production team when required.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and capable Operations & Quality Coordinator to become an integral part of our team and support the future development of our site operations.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys being involved in both operational activities and business administration. You'll work closely with production, quality, logistics, and management teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site.

This is a hands-on position requiring someone who is equally comfortable updating documentation, completing compliance checks, supporting production activities, coordinating priorities, and helping solve operational challenges.

This role offers an opportunity to grow into a broader operational leadership position and into site management responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with management to ensure operational and site objectives are achieved
• Maintain accurate production documentation, batch records, and quality systems
• Support daily production activities and operational planning
• Assist with inventory control and logistics coordination
• Complete compliance, quality, and operational checks
• Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for improvement

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, operations, quality, logistics, or a similar environment
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Communication skills and confidence working with people at all levels of the business
• Attention to detail and a commitment to doing things right the first time
• At least basic to intermediate familiarity with Microsoft suite
• Comfortable working both in an office environment and on the production floor
• Comfortable working with and around animal products
