Reporting to the Branch Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of security operations across the Northland region. You'll be responsible for coordinating people and resources, supporting guards and patrol teams, responding to customer requirements and developing processes that improve operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, can confidently lead people and enjoys finding practical solutions to keep everything running smoothly.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests.
  • Help ensure the safety and wellbeing of guards and patrol teams throughout Northland.
  • Manage rostering and workforce planning to ensure customer requirements are consistently met.
  • Lead staff management, recruitment and performance oversight.
  • Support branch growth by delivering excellent client service and encouraging customer satisfaction and referrals.
  • Maintain control and accountability for company assets and key management.
  • Deliver training and reinforce our Client's operational and professional standards.
  • Maintain high standards of communication with customers, employees and other stakeholders.
  • Support forecasting, scheduling and expenditure management alongside branch management.
  • Effectively manage both planned and unplanned workloads and resolve operational issues.
  • Support the transition to and ongoing use of the new AIMS platform.
  • Ensure operations are carried out in accordance with our Client's procedures, policies and standards.

What we’re looking for

You'll be a confident leader who can work independently, make sound decisions and stay organized when priorities change.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Proven staff leadership and management experience.
  • Strong rostering and workforce-planning capability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused, results-driven approach.
  • Experience managing competing priorities in a busy operational environment.
  • An understanding of technical security systems or the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Experience delivering training and maintaining high performance standards.
  • An understanding of forecasting, scheduling and expenditure management.
  • The ability to interpret financial reports and understand a P&L operating environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Specific experience in hospital security, static guarding, patrol operations or a similar security environment would be highly regarded.

Qualifications & requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Legal working rights in New Zealand.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Certificate of Approval (COA).
  • The ability to successfully complete all required background and vetting checks.
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver licence, as the role may involve operating a company vehicle.
  • An NZQA National Certificate in Security Level 3 or 4.
  • Security industry experience is desirable.
  • A current First Aid Certificate is preferred but not essential.

Ready for your next challenge?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader who enjoys managing people, solving problems and delivering outstanding service.

You'll be joining a well-established security operation and taking on an important role supporting the successful delivery of security services throughout Northland.
