Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Open Pit Mining professional to lead short- and medium-term mine planning in Otago, NZ. The role links Technical Services with Operations to deliver safe, economical mine planning and execution.

You will drive safety culture, manage contracts and vendors, and oversee fleet and data systems to optimise performance while supporting a 9-day fortnight schedule and a residential Otago posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mine engineering or related discipline.
• Postgrad diploma in business or management preferred.
• 10+ years of open pit mining experience including significant technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the technical services team.
• Provide leadership and governance over short and medium term open pit mine planning activities.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of technologies that enhance safety and productivity.
• Manage key stakeholder, contractor and vendor relationships to ensure effective service delivery.
