Job summary
OceanaGold is seeking a Specialist for the Macraes Open Pit Workshop to own and optimise engineering repairs and projects. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will liaise with contractors to plan and scope repair processes on mobile equipment.
Based at Macraes mine, East Otago, the role operates on a 9-day fortnight roster. A relocation to the Dunedin/Oamaru area is required, with a competitive salary and bonus opportunities, as well as healthcare and life insurance benefits.
Qualifications
- Open pit mining experience is essential.
- Unrestricted New Zealand Working Visa required.
- Full, clean and current driver license required (manual vehicle on rough terrain).
- First aid and other certificates are advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Engineering personnel to uphold safety and quality.
- Provide complete work scopes for repairs and refurbishments to wear and special items.
- Audit inspections and monitor wear package materials with feedback to GET selection.
