Job summary

Aliaxis is seeking a hands-on Quality Control specialist for the RX Plastics site in Ashburton, operating on a permanent night shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM). The role blends laboratory testing with floor-based inspections to safeguard product quality and compliance.

You will maintain QC records, run tests, and collaborate with Production to resolve issues, while supporting audits and safety initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in quality control or manufacturing-related role.
• Strong numerical skills and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
• Proactive problem-solving and quality improvement mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain QC records using company systems.
• Perform QC testing, inspections and evaluations to ensure product standards.
• Record and share test results with relevant teams.
• Carry out routine QC checks to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Take product samples and inspect during production.
• Raise quality issues and work with Production to resolve them.
• Assist with maintaining quality systems and audits.
• Investigate customer complaints and support quality investigations.
