Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a Queenstown-based site. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a range of production machinery and facility equipment.

You will work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and keep equipment in optimal condition. The ideal candidate has a National Certificate or equivalent, 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience, and strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical,

Qualifications

• National Certificate or relevant trade qualification required.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to work on-site and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot systems.
• Install and set up new equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergency repairs.
• Lubricate machinery and change filters as needed.
• Collaborate with production staff to minimize disruption.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
