Placements24 seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team in Queenstown to safeguard plant electrical systems. The role involves installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of motors, panels, and control systems to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Industrial Electrician.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and PLCs.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Commitment to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in an industrial setting.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards (e.g., OHS Act).
• Install and maintain motors, control panels, VFDs, and related equipment.
• Perform duties related to high-voltage systems as required and qualified.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and repairs promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production staff for efficiency.
