Placements24 is seeking a Chemical Production Engineer to join the Queenstown-based plant. You will ensure safe, efficient production and high-quality outputs, collaborating with operators, maintenance and management to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a chemical engineering background, 2–5 years of relevant experience, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement. On-site role with opportunities for development and advancement.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a chemical production or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of chemical process equipment and operations.
• Experience with process control systems and instrumentation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in a chemical plant setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor chemical production processes to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in production.
• Collaborate with operators and maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
