Job summary

Routerstack is seeking casual On-Call Data Center Technicians in Dunedin to join our team. You will support data center operations and IT services on an on-call basis, handling equipment storage, staging, deliveries, and basic IT support as needed.

Ideal candidates have basic experience in data center or IT work, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. Training and remote support collaboration are provided to minimize downtime and ensure effective service delivery.

Qualifications

• basic experience as a Data Center Technician or IT works
• Decent knowledge of data center equipment, IT hardware, and associated technologies
• Ability to work on an on‑call basis
• Great troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills are key
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules
• Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform tasks within data center environments

Responsibilities

• On‑call availability to respond to equipment staging and delivery requests
• Potentially Safely and securely store and stage IT hardware and equipment
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of hardware to client sites
• Perform hardware replacements and upgrades in data center environments
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty equipment to minimize downtime with remote support
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in data center operations via our training
• Work with our remote support team members to ensure efficient and effective support
