Job summary

Routerstack in Palmerston North, New Zealand, is seeking a casual On-Call Data Center and IT Technician to support our data center operations and client networks. You will work on an on-call basis, handling equipment storage, staging, hardware deliveries, and remote troubleshooting.

Expect on-call hours with competitive pay between NZD 50 and NZD 90 per hour, with travel expenses and parking covered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Basic experience as a Data Center Technician or IT worker.
• Knowledge of data center equipment and IT hardware.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call to respond to equipment staging and delivery requests.
• Safely store and stage IT hardware and equipment.
• Ensure timely delivery of hardware to client sites.
• Perform hardware replacements and upgrades in data centers.
• Troubleshoot faulty equipment with remote support.
• Follow safety protocols and training.
• Coordinate with remote support team for efficient service.
