Job summary

Allied Health Services (NZ) in Tauranga is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist on a subcontract basis to join our dynamic team.

You will deliver vocational rehabilitation, community rehab, and pain management services, including workplace assessments and return-to-work planning, across diverse client settings.

The role emphasises client-centred care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and rigorous reporting. APC is required and a minimum of two years' experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• At least 2 years' experience in vocational and community rehabilitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide home, workplace and community-based occupational therapy services.
• Deliver client-centred rehabilitation and return-to-work planning.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Document high-quality reports and justify clinical reasoning.

About the role

Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day.

Vocational Rehabilitation (SAW & BTW)

• Confident delivering workplace assessments, graduated return-to-work plans and task analysis
• Competent performing functional, injury-related assessment in the work place
• Knowledge of vocational services pathways

Community Rehabilitation Services

• Provide rehabilitation and support to individuals within their community
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to help clients achieve their rehab goals
• Knowledge of community services pathways
• Experience writing high-quality reports and justifying clinical reasoning

Pain Management Services (PMS)

• 3 years experience working in inter-disciplinary teams to support people living with persistent pain
• Skilled in behaviour change, pacing strategies, and education in self-management
• Understanding of biopsychosocial approaches
