Job summary

APM New Zealand in Invercargill is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our vibrant, values-led team. You’ll deliver vocational and community rehabilitation, concussion services and TI programs, working with a multi-disciplinary team to support clients in homes, workplaces, and communities.

Flexible hours (full-time or part-time) and ongoing professional development are available. Applications close 21 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in vocational rehabilitation and community rehabilitation services.
• Experience delivering concussion assessment and treatment is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients, whanau and healthcare stakeholders.

We're on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated, Occupational Therapist to join our team in Invercargill. We're open to both full-time and part-time applications.

About The Role

Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day.

Vocational Rehabilitation (SAW & BTW)

• Confident delivering workplace assessments, graduated return-to-work plans and task analysis
• Knowledge of vocational services pathways

Community Rehabilitation Services

• Provide rehabilitation and support to individuals within their community
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to help clients achieve their rehab goals
• Knowledge of community services pathways

Concussion Service

• Skilled in assessing and treating concussion and mild to moderate traumatic brain injury
• Experience in assessing and treating cervical spine, vestibular, oculomotor systems
• Collaborative approach with GPs, specialists and the wider multi-disciplinary team

Training For Independence (TI)

• Able to deliver individual community rehabilitation programmes focussed on independence and function
• Skilled in delivering home and community-based functional rehabilitation
• Ability to co-ordinate and collaborate with the wider multi-disciplinary team
