Job summary

Allied Health Services (NZ) in Invercargill is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. You will deliver occupational therapy across vocational rehab, community rehab, and concussion services, working with a multi-disciplinary team to support clients in diverse settings.

The role emphasizes high-level clinical reasoning, collaboration with GPs and specialists, and commitment to client-centred rehabilitation in the community.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in vocational rehabilitation and community rehabilitation services.
• Ability to deliver client-centred rehabilitation in community.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication with clients, whanau and stakeholders.

We're on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated, Occupational Therapistto join our team in Invercargill. We're open to both full-time and part-time applications.

About the role:

Reporting to your Team Leader, you’ll be part of a vibrant team culture that supports and empowers each other every day.

Vocational Rehabilitation (SAW & BTW)

• Confident delivering workplace assessments, graduated return-to-work plans and task analysis
• Knowledge of vocational services pathways

Community Rehabilitation Services

• Provide rehabilitation and support to individuals within their community
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to help clients achieve their rehab goals
• Knowledge of community services pathways

Concussion Service

• Skilled in assessing and treating concussion and mild to moderate traumatic brain injury
• Experience in assessing and treating cervical spine, vestibular, oculomotor systems
• Collaborative approach with GPs, specialists and the wider multi-disciplinary team

Training For Independence (TI)

• Able to deliver individual community rehabilitation programmes focussed on independence and function
• Skilled in delivering home and community-based functional rehabilitation
• Ability to co-ordinate and collaborate with the wider multi-disciplinary team
