Job summary

Habit Health seeks an experienced Occupational Health Nurse for its Whanganui clinic. You will deliver high‑quality occupational health services to a wide client base, conducting assessments and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role is part-time (3 days/week, including Thursday) with regional travel and opportunities to work on contracts in social rehab, concussion and vocational rehab. A supportive culture and clinical autonomy await.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with NZ Annual Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health nursing.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel around the region as required.
• Collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork knowledge of privacy, H&S, and health information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical occupational health assessments and provide clear feedback to clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting.
• Manage equipment, scheduling and patient management systems efficiently.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a nursing professional who can bring their experience to an Occupational Health Nurse role based out of our Whanganui clinic.In this role, you'll deliver high-quality occupational health services to a wide range of clients and contribute to smooth, efficient service delivery. Your nursing assessment skills, clinical judgement and proactive communication will help organisations keep their people healthy, safe and supported at work. This is an exciting and varied role where there will be opportunities for you to work on contracts in social rehab, concussion and vocational rehab. This is a part-time opportunity, with it being 3 full days throughout the week and Thursday needs to be one of these days.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel around the region.

The ideal candidate:

• Registered Nurse with a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
• Minimum 5 years' experience in occupational health nursing
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills
