Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced NZ E, C + I Engineering Manager to lead Electrical, Control & Instrumentation across New Zealand. Based in Auckland or New Plymouth, you will provide strategic leadership, technical direction and people management to keep Worley at the forefront of EC&I capability.

You will guide a team of EC&I engineers, drive standards, support project delivery, and contribute to business development while maintaining a strong safety culture and innovative engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Experience leading EC&I engineering teams in consulting, industrial, energy, water, infrastructure or resource sectors.
• Strong technical expertise across power distribution, electrical systems, SCADA, PLCs, DCS, instrumentation, and automation.
• Proven ability to mentor engineering talent and build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation engineers and designers across New Zealand.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across a portfolio of projects.
• Support resource planning, capability development and recruitment activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Drive engineering standards and technical excellence across the discipline.
• Support project delivery through design reviews and problem solving.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical customer solutions.
• Assist business development, proposals and customer engagement.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the discipline.
• Champion a strong safety culture and sustainable engineering solutions.
